A kiln is where glass is made. Ours runs at night.
NIGHTKILN is a small studio that makes images of objects. Images a photographer would recognise, where the light does the describing and the object simply stands there and takes it.
We work mostly on the hard materials, glass, metal, gold, coated paper. They are hard for the same reason, none of them has an appearance of its own. They only have what the room gives them, so the work is lighting before it is modelling, and then looking very closely at what came back.
We look at every image magnified before we deliver it. A flaw you can only see up close is still a flaw.
